Pythia II Necklace

from 65.00

Pythia was the name of the priestesses throughout the history of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi and were credited for their prophecies. The Pythia delivered divine oracles in a frenzied state induced by vapors rising from a chasm in the rock.

This necklace comes in two variants:

Black: This necklace is made from hand dyed linen and silk (using brazilwood + iron for the linen, and tannin for the silk), and a hand-built glazed ceramic component. The glaze is mostly black with little blue speckles throughout.

Rust: This necklace is made from hand dyed linen and silk (using logwood + iron for the linen, and tannin for the silk), and a hand-built glazed ceramic component. The glaze is a rust color.

Blue: This necklace is made from hand dyed linen and silk (using logwood + cochineal for the linen and tannin for the silk), and a hand-built glazed ceramic component. The glaze is a blue color.
